Spectacles
It’s all about making a scene,
so the crowd responds
in raids and riots,
though cause and motive
seem narrow-minded,
or the instigator is
too near-sighted,
and so must arrest
more broad a sense
of concept, of campaign
before things get out
of hand, and he
need only resemble
a mirror recognizing
itself as seen through
vision’s handcuffs.
